Understanding Your Platform Billing

Navigating billing can often feel complex, so we've designed our billing system to be as transparent and straightforward as possible. This guide will help you understand how billing works, how to track your usage, and manage your costs effectively.

Accessing Billing Information

You can access your complete billing details through the sidebar of your account dashboard. This section provides real-time insights into:

  • Remaining credits (if applicable)
  • Estimated costs for the current month
  • Usage breakdown by service

Hourly Billing Mechanism

Our billing is calculated on an hourly basis with a unique rounding approach designed to provide clarity and fairness:

  • Partial Hour Usage: Any service usage, even as brief as 2 minutes, will be rounded to a full hour.
  • Examples:
    • 2 minutes of service usage = 1 hour billed
    • 59 minutes of service usage = 1 hour billed
    • 1 hour and 2 minutes of service usage = 2 hours billed

This approach ensures transparent and predictable billing for all our users.

Usage Tracking and Credits

We meticulously track your hourly usage across all services. Our billing process follows a structured approach:

  1. Total monthly usage is calculated
  2. Available credits are first applied to offset the total cost
  3. Any exceeding amount is charged to your primary payment method

Payment Processing with Stripe

We've partnered with Stripe, a leading payment processing platform, to handle our billing. Stripe is renowned for its robust security infrastructure, holding critical certifications that protect your financial information:

  • SOC 2 Compliance: Ensures stringent controls around security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy
  • PCI DSS Certification: Guarantees the highest standards of payment card industry data security
  • Advanced Encryption: Protects all payment information with state-of-the-art security protocols

We take the security of your financial information extremely seriously. All payment details, including credit card information and billing addresses, are exclusively stored and processed through Stripe.

Important points about your payment information:

  • We do not collect, store, or directly handle any of your payment details
  • Your credit card and address information remain entirely within Stripe's secure payment infrastructure
  • No payment data is transferred to or exported from Stripe by our platform
  • Stripe manages all sensitive financial information using industry-leading security protocols

By utilizing Stripe's dedicated payment system, we ensure the highest level of protection for your financial data, maintaining strict confidentiality and preventing any potential unauthorized access or misuse of your personal payment information.

Billing Cycle

  • Charges are processed on the first business day of each month
  • The charge covers the previous month's usage after credit application

Managing Payment Information

In the Billing page, you have several convenient options:

  • Change your primary payment method
  • Update payment information
  • Set up email alerts for monthly cost thresholds

Account Deletion and Billing

If you choose to delete your account:

  • No new charges will be incurred
  • Any remaining outstanding payments for previous usage will still be due
  • Your final bill will be processed according to our standard billing cycle

Proactive Cost Management

We encourage users to leverage our email alert feature, which can notify you when monthly costs exceed a predefined threshold. This helps you maintain tight control over your spending and avoid unexpected expenses.
